The Denver Pirates comeback on the Rebound from last weeks loss by defeating the Broomfield Dawgs 45-0. The Pirates offense started slow but then gained a lot of speed from Runningbacks Deshaun Perkins, Sharrod Allmon, and Rob Stone running over 200 yards total and QB Steve Byrd throwing a couple of TD passes to Arthur Humphrey and Rod Hornbuckle. The Defense came out owning the field. The front four was powerful forcing throws and the Pirates Secondary capitalizing on every one. Steve Heit intercepting 2,Kris Cantabury 1, Jimall Loftis 1, And Rookie Corner Vic Golden 1, And verteran LB Rick Savala also got 1. A good game to get back to our winning ways. The Dawgs showed a lot of heart and never quit in the Fourth quarter QB Steve Gamble almost had us for a long one but the reciever dropped it. Thanks to the Dawgs for hosting the Game.
Update Next weeks Game-The field is located off I-25 Exit 138. Turn left after exiting the off ramp and turn right at the second traffic light (Janitel Rd.) to enter the stadium parking area. Visiting teams are asked to park at the south end of the stadium. The new location is a little more access friendly and is in a good location for easy on/off access to I-25.
